Embracing Home With Marissa of Heartwares

As a part of my Embracing Home series, I want to introduce a friend of mine. Marissa is a creative over at Heartwares where she creates custom cloth photo books, banners, blankets and pillows.  She had an art business before I did so I have gone to her for questions as I started my own. She was gracious enough to share her home with us as a part of my Embracing Home blog series. We have worked together the past few years planning and decorating our church building. Embracing Home: Small Spaces

This month, in the Embracing Home series, I am talking about small spaces. Whether you live in an apartment or have a smaller home, this one is for you.  I have struggled at times in embracing the size of our home. A little over a year ago I was so discontent and ready to move. But I have since had a change of heart and absolutely love where we live. We have great neighbors, we are within walking distance of the Falls of the Ohio which we go to multiple times a week, and our home really does have lots of great qualities.  So what changed? Embracing Home- Series Intro

One of my desires in creating art for others' homes is to not only add beauty, but to create pieces that are meaningful, encouraging, and that help celebrate and tell others' stories.  This inspired me to create a blog series about the journey of creating the spaces In our homes. My word for the year has been 'embrace'.
